    MidYIS Assessment (Grade 8)

      Computer-adaptive baseline tests by the Centre for Evaluation and Monitoring (CEM) that provide clear indication of student strengths.

      Benefits: Helps students make informed choices for Grade 9 and identifies areas where interventions may improve outcomes.

      Students are assessed through a combination of coursework and final examinations, providing a comprehensive evaluation of their knowledge and skills in each subject area.

      A rigorous two-year pre-university course promoting inquiry, international-mindedness, and holistic development. Designed to address intellectual, social, emotional, and physical well-being of students

      Programme Structure

      Six Subject Groups

      Students choose six subjects from different groups to ensure broad, balanced education while allowing for specialization in areas of interest.

      Note: Spanish and French offered at SL Level only. Ab initio available for beginners, Level B SL for those with Class 10 experience.

      The Core Programme

      All students complete three core components that expand their educational experience and challenge them to apply their knowledge and skills.

      Interdisciplinary Option: Environmental Societies and Systems (Groups III & IV) for students interested in environmental studies.

      Students engage in creative pursuits, physical activities, and community service projects to develop personal and interpersonal skills.

      TOK

      Theory of Knowledge

      Students explore the nature of knowledge across disciplines and develop critical thinking skills to understand how we know what we claim to know.

      Extended Essay

      Independent Research Project

      Students undertake independent research on a topic of special interest, culminating in a 4,000-word essay that develops research and writing skills.

      University & Life Preparation

      The IB Diploma Programme prepares students aged 16-18 for success at university and life beyond. It's designed to address the intellectual, social, emotional, and physical well-being of students, creating confident, inquiring, knowledgeable, and caring young people.
